Con Forestle contribuisci a salvare le foreste

Immaginiamo di effettuare un’analisi sfruttando un motore di ricerca molto particolare, Forestle. Ebbene forse non lo sappiamo, ma abbiamo contribuito a salvare una piccola porzione del pianeta ovvero un lembo di foresta. Lo dice il nome stesso, nato dalla fusione di Forest e Google.
Sembra incredibile, ma è proprio così, e per verificare la nostra coscienza ecologica cosa c’è di meglio che controllare i risultati su Google? Il motivo per cui si giunge a questo apprezzabile risultato è semplice, almeno una volta che ci è stato spiegato: utilizzare questo sito implica sfruttare gli introiti derivanti dai link sponsorizzati e devolverli a Nature Conservancy.
Questi i primi risultati: 0,1 metro quadrato di foresta al giorno. Da quando esiste il modo per farlo, a essere sottratti a fine certa sono stati ben 15.000 metri quadrati di foreste. Insomma, un pregevole strumento messoci a disposizione ancora una volta dal web.

We just received an email from Google in which they announced the end of the partnership with Forestle. They said that we offered “incentives to click artificially on sponsored links” and that this was not compliant with their policies..
Well, we don’t agree with that!
We displayed a note at the top of the Forestle result page that says “only click on Google sponsored links if you are really interested in them”. Also we saved 0.1 m² per search and not per click! So where did we offer incentives to click on ads?
In our opinion Google ended the partnership, because Forestle became too successful: Yesterday we earned almost 200 USD and saved more than 4,000 square meters of rainforest!
We will try to reactivate Forestle and clarify this issue. Meanwhile, we ask you to use our eco-friendly search engine http://www.Znout.com.
